For Earth Day this year, BE Ultimate is taking an important step towards building on our current sustainability practices and growing our positive environmental impact. On April 22nd 2024 we are beginning a new initiative with veritree that involves 5 trees to be planted for every retail store purchase through BE Ultimate moving forward.
Over the last several years, we at BE Ultimate have come to realize our obligation and responsibility to fight climate change. For us, the realization came from the fact that we have scaled—and with greater scale comes greater impact and greater responsibility.

Watching a team unpack their jerseys and seeing the bags pile up one after another, knowing that each was destined for the landfill, was sobering. Was there an alternative?
This year has been one of disappointment and uncertainty in many ways. With the COVID-19 virus causing the cancellation of tournaments and impeding everything from tournament play to training availability, it would be easy to assume that the sport of ultimate is looking at hard times in the future.

To coincide with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, BE Ultimate has partnered with Climate Neutral to offset our carbon footprint. Earth Day 2020’s theme is climate action. Climate Neutral accelerates corporate climate action by helping companies measure and understand their carbon footprints, drives funding into climate change solutions by requiring all Certified Brands to purchase carbon offsets, and reduces harmful emissions.
