Buffalo, NY is a city that has had its fair share of ups and downs in the ultimate scene. Their time spent in the semi-professional league, the AUDL (American Ultimate Disc League), lasted only one season in 2012 until the team was moved to Rochester, NY. In terms of club Ultimate no team has really gathered enough traction to last more than a couple years. With a group of committed players and a vision to put Buffalo Ultimate on the map, Lake Effect hopes to bring continued success to their beloved city!

The women's team Venus Ultimate was created almost by accident during a party where conversation (as well as a few choice drinks) were flowing. It was the night of Coup de Foudre, in Sherbrooke, now three years ago. From the inception of the team, leaders have always clearly communicated their vision and values while remaining on course without being distracted. This approach is also reflected perfectly in the design process of the uniforms.

We love the fact that every team is unique and has their own story. The creation of the team, how they got to where they are and how there uniforms accent their team brand. We want to help share that story.
